Bill of Material (BOM)defines the structure of a product. It lists down all of the Raw materials, sub-parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies which are needed to produce a product.
Ultimate ERP collects Material BOM, Process BOM, Model BOM, Process Routing, Material Sourcing tthrough forms. The same can be input using Excel template.
All business concerns are addressed in the BOM. Process scrap, by-product can be defined. Number of alternate materials can be defined. No limit on number of sub-levels in a BOM.
Same process can be mapped to any number of machines; similarly, purchase can be sourced from more than one vendor. Sub-contracting is clearly defined using SORO, SORM, SMRO concept.
BOM is linked to Storage Location and hence material movementsis done as defined in BOM.
